In February 2009, Indiana conference unveiled their cluster idea as a way for local congregations to work together to accomplish the gospel mission in their local areas. At a kick-off meeting at Edwardsville UMC, we gathered to hear about our mission and to pick our cluster partners. We could choose whoever we wanted, as long as we had four to nine churches in each cluster. We had representatives of nine counties from our South District in a scene best described as organized chaos! But, what emerged was the Serving Seven Ministry Cluster –named for Palmyra, Thompson's Chapel, Unity Chapel, Central Barren, New Salisbury, Hursttown, and Crandall United Methodist churches...
Join the Cluster for our annual Lenten Services being held every Sunday night beginning at 6:30 P.M.
This year's theme:
"The Beatitudes" based on Matthew 5:1-12

March 11th - "Those Who Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness" at Unity Chapel UMC

The Serving Seven Ministry Cluster was formed in 2009 and consists of seven local churches in Northern Harrison County of Indiana. Palmyra, Thompson's Chapel, Unity Chapel, Central Barren, New Salisbury, Hursttown, and Crandall United Methodist churches.
Hot meals are provided every Wednesday night at Unity Chapel UMC. On the first Wednesday of every month the Serving Seven Cluster is providing the meal. January 2017 will mark our 4th year of service to the community! It is a great feeling to be making a difference right here in our own community. We can always use an extra set of hands to serve food, provide desserts or just come to visit with our guests because, not only are we feeding the hungry, we are feeding the soul.
